I lit the furnace yesterday. It has been turned off since March of last year. Night-time temps have been in the mid 50's. It helps to be a mile from the beach cause the Pacific ocean does a lot to regulate the temperature. We have had occasions last year when we had frost which killed off most of the banana plants in the neighborhood. We do have a population of wild parrots living in the area for the past 20 years thanks to a local pet store fire. The birds were released and now there are a flock of several hundred (and growing). They seem to do ok during the occasional freezes.

Its been a few years since a good rain and when it does come, people can't figure out how to drive on slick roads.

Daytime temps are in the low 70's still so we are coping. I found my jacket and take it everyday to work now. And yes, I do run antifreeze in my radiator (to control the rust). :-)

Best Wishes
Lonnie
