No. The WW II Dogde 6X6 (T-223) with the 2 speed transfer case had rear output shafts off the upper and lower rear drives on the transfer case going to the 2 rear axles, and worked fine in both high and low range. You will be fine as long as you do not engage the overdrive while in 4 wheel drive.
