I have been gathering data about changing my WM300 to a centered diff. rearend. Now
after reading the OD unit driving results
and someone asked what the final drive ratio
was, click! a thought came to mind I had not considered.
If the rear output is transferred to the
drumbrake shaft, will that cause a difference in output speed between the front and rear
driveshafts when the T-case is shifted into low range? If I'm correct, after shifting the T-case into low range the rear drive would be still at 1:00 to 1:00 rotation in 4th while the front would be rotating at 1:96 to 1:00. A diff. in every gear overall.
Am I correct in assuming this? If so,I would lose my low range capability in 4X4.
If not, what facts have I missed?
