Putting a quick pencil too it I come up with about a 4.30 gearing.
I took Mac's truck out for a test drive after I got the O/D installed and according to my GPS I ran 61mph on level ground.
I personally don't think this set-up would work very well with 4.89's unless it has a V8 pushing it. His 230 runs great but it still starts slowing on very much of a hill with the O/D on.
Outside of that the only downfall is a serious loss of ground clearance right in the middle of the truck. (apx. 12" clearance from new crossmembers to the ground)
This set-up would be great on a truck that does'nt see alot of serious off roading. I.E. no rock crawling! If you spend 90% of your time on pavement then this is the thingb for you.
The install is almost a direct fit , I just had to use the die grinder to oblong a couple of holes on the frame brackets. On his truck I had the driveshaft cut down to about 26" cntr to cntr of the yokes. That was the only modification I had to make to the truck.
All said it was a well engineered product that looked like it is going to do what it was designed to do for a long time, and do it well.
