Ya rite, i have had the same feeling today as i had when i drove by the dodge truck dealership i worked for 15 years and saw them using a bobcat to dump all the old dodge flathead books, manuals, literature desoto rams heads from 50,s lil red ram valve covers etc into a dumpster to go to landfill, this was also a jeep dealership at one time from the 40's, lots of new stuff that factory decided was to hard to id and send back to parts depo in dallas, they had 4 tall 40 foot dumpsters full. You never get over stuff like that. i think i am going to look for a real dana 70 or buy a m35 for the rockwells, at least someone is building new stuff for them. The rear is still (locker detroit) available. Wonder what front would work to have a locker and not have to raise the truck up? i donot want anything less than 2 ton driving/steering axle. I know rockwell has some other newer steering/drivng axles but where do you find info used ones, what do you ask for? Thanks. I still bet if diff was taken to detroit it would be found that they still have a locker but donot know it fits, the diffs sure look the same on the exposed one i looked at today in field, still waiting on kimberlings to call back, they have 3 of the front axles in stock, unlocked of course, but i wonder if they really even know. Poor w5oo orphanchild axle.
