Chances are this combo is out of a larger 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 ton truck and will not bolt into your WDX. If you plan on doing the swap you will need to modify your WDX bell housing to fit the 5spd tranny. An early small shaft 5spd would bolt up to the modified BH but a latter NP542 will need the input shaft ground to fit.
You will also need to move your TC and modify the length of your drive shafts.
