1941 Dodge Command Car 1/2 ton $3,500

One of the last batch of 1/2 tons to leave the factory in 1942, this model is more drivable than the 42 to 45 ¾ ton model, as it has softer springs and a flat floor. And this has the very hard to find top bows.

I've owned it since 1975 and resurrected it at that time with a fresh engine (5,000 miles ago) and M37 5.83 pumpkins. And 6.5 x 16 wheels for 900-16's.

I added the MU5 12,000lb winch w/ 2speed PTO (strictly bolted on) and a 2 bbl carburetor, shop built intake and headers, dual exhaust. This increased horse power to the ground from 45 to 65 and made it sound like a Porsche, 3 cylinders out each side! Windshield frame is a repro, (75), and I'm half done with a power steering conversion to a Saginaw box w/ late steering column. With all the leg room in the back seat, there is room for a row of lawn chairs (14 people total, if they're 50% college co-eds) and a keg of beer! Some spares to go with it. I've left tracks in lots of interesting places in the southern California desert in my baby!

Health forces sale (and an 'in-law' that doesn't want it in HER driveway!)
