I think you guys are missing the point here...so long as it takes a ton of money & time to restore a Power Wagon, so long as there are people that want them, there will always be people willing to pay even more than the sum of these figures to own one....
what my intentions are with the P/W are irrelevant. Most people prefer to take them out in a parade or tour & wash them...I personally know a guy that often posts on this forum who buys fully restored 99 point cars & destroys them. Whatever people do with them, so long as people are interested in this particular vehicle, as people obviously are in the Flat Fenders, prices will continue go through the roof.
I've noticed people on this forum that bad mouth the high prices but when asked if they will sell their pristine P/W, they're almost offended by the question. These are the people driving up the prices. The more trucks that are out of circulation, so to speak, the less there are available & the higher the prices go. This is the trend with P/W's. Nobody wants to part with them so the prices rise....does this surprise you? If so, maybe you can get your hands on a collection of Suzuki Jeeps or F100's & sleep better knowing prices are bound to stay low & your hobby will remain unthreatened.
Just my opinion RD...no hard feelings!
