What truck did it come out of and what truck are you putting it in? There are many bell housings out there that are similar but truck specific. Does this tranny have a smaller dia input shaft and a cast iron top cover or does it have the latter large input shaft and an aluminum cover? These trannies are a little harder to shift and in a ligther truck can use a lighter weight synthetic gear oil. Even the direct drive would give you a better gear selection for road driving at the 3-4-5 gears, the first being 8 to 1 and very low.
