Many of the 60's trucks had power assist steering. This used the standard manual box, but they had a special hydraulic ram attached to the tie rod that sensed when the rod was pushed in a direction, then the ram was activated to assist the push. Very simple setup, but the hyraulic rams were prone to failure. All you need to do to adapt this to a Power Wagon is to install a power steering pump and the hydraulic ram at the correct location.
