My father passed away today. It was expected but not this soon. He was a great father. He taught me to hunt and fish. He also taught me to be responsible for my actions and to treat all fairly and equally no matter who they were. He trusted me as a young man much more than any father should, but always held me accountable. He started me working on cars even though he never fixed one himself. He knew my talents and encouraged me to develop them and use them.

These past years have been great. We were really good friends and we enjoyed each other very much. He supported me through chemotherapy and many other trials. I was only too happy to be with him these last few months doing what I could for him.

His affairs are in good shape so that will not be too difficult. My step mom will need lots of help as she has some difficulties. My Dad was true to the end. He stated that we were to take care of the family and never forget that my step mom is family. He spent the last several months doing things he never wanted to do but he was making sure all was in order. Was he a saint? No!! but he did what was right. I will miss him as will many people. His epitah is in his children and grandchildren who are all a positive influence to this word.

I would appreciate your prayers as we take care of things in the near future. Sorry for such a long message but it has been quite a day.
