Bill, go to a spring shop and buy a set of bushings (new) for the 3/4 inch springs, drive the 1/2 inch bushings out of your old springs and install the new 3/4, should not be over $2.50 per bushing at a real spring shop. I just did this to my truck. There exixt bushings that are the same od and different id for this. Be sure and take the new springs with you to check the od and have them put the different new id in the springs, you may have to grind out the shackle, not must room on the tank side good luck.New springs are in jc whitney for 1/4 what you were quoted, must have included labor, but its too high anyway.
