Yes, I put a '51 Willys wagon body on a '77 Scout chassis. The Willys frame was junk and the Scout had no body at all so I put the two of them together. Here's a picture:

And neither was molested to fit the other as I built a subframe to connect the stock Willys mounting points with the stock Scout mounts.
