if you want to modify your truck, fine - do it. its your truck. if you want a bone stock truck - good too. if you want someting in between - ok. it is a waste of bandwith (as this post might be seen as) asking what the forum feels about your intended project plan is. you will get the full range of answers from 'great idea' to 'you heathen' to 'been there done that & this is what i learned'. if you really want to attempt a conversion- ask pointed questions. ask those who have done it how. ask kieth in washington how to fully modify a carryall's engine in a stock frame. ask maui dave about what michael johnson did to pep up the orig flatty in his carryall. ask the bone stock guys what shade of silver to paint you engine. dont ask for opinions-- they are like a--holes, everyone has one and they usually stink. i have modified my command with disc brakes and have modified my m37 with disc brakes and a 2 chambered system ala ray suiter. both trucks have 489s i had turn signals, license plate lights, glovebox lights and cell phone power in my wiring harness that kevin marrinan built for me. i will put power steering in my 37 when ray builds it. i will share what i learned if asked, but i care little about what others think about 'butchering' my truck. do what you want. usually those who bitch dont even have a truck. mannyc
