Your 1/2 ton Dodge will have a much lighter differential than a 1 ton WDX. The 1 ton 2X4 civilian trucks share the same differential carrier as the early 1/2 ton 4X4 weapons carriers made by Dodge in WWII, and they can be interchanged with some machine work. I'm sorry, but I don't have the dimensions for either differential here to post.
