Wow. Lots of good advice. I have one other cause to check given to me from a 70 year old at work who seems to come up with an answer for everything. He says it may be a broken advance spring in the distributer. I have the plate out covering the advance springs and one appears to be loose. Don't know if that's the problem but will try to tighten it up or get a new spring. Will let you all know when I find the cause. Thanks a bunch everybody.
