After taking a tetanus shot I run a high fever for several days and feel really bad.
For many years I had to take two tetanus shots, each a half dose, about a week apart. I still ran a fever and felt bad, but for much less time. I was usually given them on a Friday so i'd be back in school on Monday. not fun for a kid wasting the weekend. Why oh why couldn't it be done on a Monday?
Sometime in the 1980's a Hyper-Tet shot came out that addressed the problems some opeople were having with tetanus shots, like me. I've never had a problem with a Hyper-Tet shot. I don't know what the difference is.
