I've gotten a ton of mail asking about the 6x6 swivel I saw in ID. Instead of replying to everyone I'll just tell about it here. I was told about it a long time ago but thought it was just a bunch of bunk. Anyway I went and looked at it. It's a no poop 6x6 Power Wagon. It is not a factory job though, no swivel frame is. This old time machineist put PW bodywork on a WC62 chassis. He cut the frame and streched it and built a crew cab using a '45 2wd truck cab on the back. he then added two crossmembers from a 3/4 ton WC and a joint between the cab and the bed. It has a flatbed on it that he made (it's extremely nice). It was a project he and his son worked on together over many years. The 230 motor broke the crank and they just finally lost interest in it. It's just sitting at his place now. He hasent decided if he wants to sell it or not because of all the memories, and he's afraid of liability (It stinks, but everyone is suing everyone these days, and his boy lost his fledgling tree business because of that). I took some pictures, when I get them developed they will go on my site. I will say this, I dont think I would want to take it on the trails because it's really long. I would guess at least a 160" Wheelbase to the back wheel. He also said it never really had much power. I told him about the 318 kits and the disc brakes and major improvements available if he wanted to put it on the road again. He is approaching 81 years old, so I dont think this will happen very soon. He has my # and promised to call if he ever wants to sell. He asked me what I thought it was worth. I never know how to reply to a question like that, especially since it's basicly a hand built vehicle. Any suggestions?
