At least that is the best info I can find after checking this info on several 58-59 W100 VIN tags.

1958 W100s tend to use the NPROC 89905, at least all the 58 W100s, and W200s I have checked use that tranny for a 3 speed.

I am not sure on 57s, as they do not use a door tag, and I never tried to ID the tranny in a 57.

My service manual says nothing about what model 57s use, but the 60 manual shows the T85E like 59, which my field research agrees with.

Anybody have any other info?

Eric
