I'm already cleaning out the Cummins Dodge and loading things I want to take to Pat and Wanda's. I'm getting real anxious to go. I think I'll put the WC-52 on the trailer Wednesday and go early Thursday.
It'll be my first Power Wagon outing since the stroke. I'm doing great. And it won't matter if I get a bit tired. My son is coming in from Louisiana and his father-in-law is coming in from south of Dansville, New York so I'll have someone to drive the WC-52. Maybe some of you might want to give it a spin.
Don't forget about the Swap Meet. LB, I'll bring that M-37 winch we talked about before I was laid up. If you don't want it, perhaps someone else might be interested. I'll have photos of a '68 WM 300 and a 1/2 ton military closed cab that a friend has just put up for sale. They're about 120 miles from Pat and Wanda's.
I just took a walk outside. It's nice. The evenings are finally a bit cool. The moon is bright and will be full Saturday night. There was a time some years ago it would have been perfect for a hayride. (Any of you old enough to remember those?) Well, we'll just have to settle for a moonlight trail ride with the ones we love most. And maybe we'll invite the wives and sweethearts to join us in our beloved trucks.
I sure hope all of you are coming to the Tailgate Party. They are always great.
TWO DAYS!
