I don't want to get into a full discussion on Theology here, but in answer to your question part of the answer may lie in the fact that as Christians we are taught to "Love our Enemies". And from what I've been told this is something that is absent in the Islamic religions. They have no sense of forgiveness or love of ones enemies. From what I've been told the same is true of the Jewish faith. Remember one of the last things that Christ said after being crucified was "Forgive them Father for they know not what they are doing".
