I am in the process of redoing the 230 in my M 37. I figue by the time I get the block bored , decked, the crank turned and the valves done I will have about $500 in the machine work not counting the parts. I would think that it all depend how handy you are and if you want the challenge of rebuilding your engine. Just remember the overhead valve is just a passing fad!!!!!!!!!
