the inside rod just bearly moves is that normal. the shifter is justa three position isnt it. If its in the middle the front output doesnt move(nutreal i'm guessing). if its forward or back the front output than spins, the beast still wont move. Do you think im missing something, or is it posible that the transfercase is bad. This truck has had a hard life. To many kids have owned it, and had no clue how to take care of it. If the transfer is bad will one off a 78 pw with an automatic bolt up to mine. (I have a long bed parts truck)
