I had the same problem on my WC12 several years ago. I had bought a 2-wire sender from VPW and had to send the 1st unit back for a replacement. VPW quickly sent me a replacement at no charge. I experienced the same problem on the 2nd sender. I grounded the sending unit (and tank) to the frame and made sure my gauge was well grounded and the terminals were clean. Also, check continuity of the wires. Short the wires at the tank and use a multimeter to check to 0 ohms at the gauge. Occasionally, it takes a notion to drop to zero, but it corrects itself within a few minutes.
