I've got a radiator presure tester if you want to check for leaks. Pump a few psi(5 to 10) into the system(may have to cap your overflow tube), wait a while and see if it bleeds down. Check the cylinders for water and look at the headgasket area and around the freezeplugs for seeping. This will give you a pretty good indication if you've done any damage to the system from the coolant side os the system.
