my manual 74 PW thru 93 Ram suggests using a large socket to drive the freeze plugs in.it works well too! i have done eight on my PW's that way . i would suggest using the Brass style freeze plugs if you can find the right size, i've been told they're much more corrosion/rust resistant, and but you still need corosion inhibiting antifreeze for everything else!(of course)good luck
