I cant see why you'd need one if the electric pump is built to supply the correct pressure for the truck-if it isn't then get a new pump and dont worry about a regulator. I've removed more of these things from my project vehicles. If the pump is correct they are useless and I'd kick the pants of the guy who advises you to have one.
