it is long gone thinking to assume that these parts guys coming up will ever reach the skill level of the old guys. the parts places that employ the new kids dont stay open long enough to promise a career and what they pay the guys prohibits them from hanging around when they become too smart or have a family and need to go work as a parts manager for a fleet customer or dealership. its a shame but in this new world nothing can be depended on. the safety net that used to reward hard work and effort has holes big enough to drive a w500 through sideways. its a shame really.
