I have a 246/8000# winch that I'm going to mount on my 58 W-100. I talked with one other guy with a 246 whom had his mounted on a newer W-200, I think it was. The Ramsey PTO winch does not look anything like the LU-2 but, It could surely fit in it's place and perform as well. The Ramsey Winch is surely much newer than the LU-2 that should be on your truck.. The Ramsey Winch Co. still has all the parts for a rebuild on most all of the narrower (14") models. I sent for and received a small booklet of info, sort of an owners manual. I think it covers all of the old PTO models. The only parts that I can't get for my X246L370 is the spool and the shaft. The 246 is 22" long... Just holler if I can give up some specs. from my manual.............How much were they asking for the winch? I have no idea when they made these. Mine is from a early 70's *^*+ Bronco.. The input shaft can be changed to the opposite side with very little trouble. About 15 mins...
