You should not run detergent oil in a 230 unless you modify it for a full-flow oil filter. It sounds like you may be concerend with sloughing off old crud from inside your motor, but there is another reason to stick with non-detergent oil.

Detergent oil is designed to keep dirt suspended in the oil until it is removed by the filter. If you don't have a full-flow filter, you are sending dirty oil back through your bearings. Non-detergent oil lets the crud settle out in the bottom of the pan. I've heard that detergent oil without an oil filter can ruin bearings in 20,000 miles.
