Welcome to the forum! As for having a "not so nice" WDX, don't worry about what it looks like, or even if it runs all that well. People here have Power Wagons in various states of repair (or disrepair). While everyone loves seeing a super restored example, we all definitely appreciate the worn, hard-worked examples too, and that's no lie. We have particularly soft spots in our hearts for those less-than-pristine trucks, because we can see that they have served their owners well and have held up to the tests of time and work.
As for the rest of your statement, I just want to thank you for having served our country. Amen to being in the land of the free!
