These 251s are the same engines i told you guys about about 6 months to a year ago. did anyone buy one?? how did they work out???they were at barstow truck parts in ca on sale for 1100 bucks each and deep quantity discounts were available. vpw bought them from barstow. i commend vpw for having the dollars and the foresight to purchase them all and sell them for $1900 each. i love america. someones surplus problem can be turned into someone else's dream drop in full flow oil filtered machine. it just goes to show you how much of this cool dodge stuff can be found if you dig enough. i have bought fuel, oil and waterpumps, brass water tubes, gaskets etc. from a forklift dealer who thought i was crazy for wanting his obsolete stuff. he calls me when he finds any old dodge items and he sells me stuff at a deep discount (he thinks). if i showed him any of the military mags or pw price lists, the guy would have a heart attack. considering the fact that vpw had to transport them, warehouse them, test them and offer some sort of guarantee on them, makes the price seem fair for a running complete engine. if you live on the east cost, the increased price will be offset by the engines now being closer. kudos to vpw on the find.
