Eric, I test all of my 6-volt accessory motors on the bench with a 6-volt/12-volt battery charger. Before you put power to those motors, you may want to totally dissasemble the gear boxes. There is a fiber gear inside that box. The teeth on it will strip very easily if the inside of the gear box is not completely clean and well lubricated. It wouldn't hurt to take apart the motors also. Take out the brushes and soak everything else with WD40. Then blow out all of the crud that has lived and died in there over the past 50 years.
