Were you able to get that part off of the CarQuest web site or through a local dealer? The web site didn't seem to take me very far, other than to say they handled PO parts.
While I admit to a profound ignorance of the subject of these parts, the following thoughts ocurr:
1) IIRC, the front and rear shafts on the PTO were essentially the same (ie, I didn't notice a difference).
2) I find the NAPA 305 reference on an M-37 cross reference page; I recall anybody ever mentioning a rear PTO attachment on the M-37.
This leads me to believe that the "NAPA NUJ 305" et al universal joint may indeed be a valid P/N for the PTO end of the winch shaft. Are both ends the same? Is the shaft just a solid shaft?
