Over time the rubber shrinks, gets hard and looses it flex. As opposed to replacing them as the right thing to do, guys just tighten them down making an inflexible situation. This causes your cab to twist and crack.

There are two things you can do:

1. Buy some industrial rubber and cut your insulators using hole saws for inner and outer cuts. I have a 56 C3 and the front have to be 1-3/4 thick, the rear 2 inches thick in order for the hood and cowl to align properly. The cost is about $20-25 per 6x6 square, enough to do both front and rear.

2. Here are the Chrysler numbers for the WM300 insulators. They are still available from your dealer, but the dealer will have to use a locator search, to find them. These numbers are from a 69-71 parts book, so I don't know for sure if they are what you have. You may have to order and compare.

Front - 1563193 $9.00 apiece
Rear - 2224798 $25 apiece
