People that do not spend help encourage the downward sprial. Economists will tell you that the great depression would not have been so great if the US goverment had only spent some of its reserves. The same holds true for the average man off the street. I think econimists are the source of our problems , if they did not spend so much time sceaming that the sky was falling there would be much less market termoil. Most market volitity is reaction to econimists getting on the band wagon.
