Let me share my experience with antique boats which is really directly related.

Back in and thru the 70's, at the end of the Mahogany Boats and the start of Fiber Glass boats, you could buy the Chris Craft's, Garwood's and Hackers Cheap. By cheap I am talking $700 for a triple cockpit Chris, $8 to 900 for a Hacker. Then as people started to collect these boats, prices went up on a slow curve. Prices these days for a restored triple cockpit will be around $30 to 40 thousand and more. Prices on Antique boat parts have sky rocketed due the the lack of parts and the huge profit from Ebay sales.

Now, with Power Wagons we are seeing the same thing, people are buying them up, along with parts. But its not a slow curve as people know about huge Ebay profits and what restored PW's will bring. So we are faced with a very steep curve of raising prices which I dont believe will top out for quite a while.

People have sold parts for the Antique Boats just to have some more funding in their pocket. Now they need parts and are faced with these high costs. My opinion, is DONT sell any PW parts you own unless you are VERY sure you will never need them. If PW's track the boats, we will see $30K PW's within 5 years. Fasten your seatbelt its going to be a ride.
