The reason the PW extensions are longer is that they are winch/frame extensions. The front of the winch and bumper are supported by the extension. PW frames are all non winch frames with added frame extensions for the winch. All M-37 frames are winch frames and the LU-4 mounts in the frame. The M-37 extensions are merely bumper extensions and do not support the winch.
In the market the PW frame extensions are worth about twice what the bumper extensions for the M-37 are going for. I'm sure there is someone on the forum here that would make the trade with you and pay the postage both ways. At least you would have the right extensions for your truck and not destroy a valuable PW set. I would trade if I had an extra set..... Anyone???????
