I've used powder coating & Imron(epoxy)...both work excellent if applied properly. You cannot compare good quality paint work with lawn furniture quality powder coating. When lawn furniture is powder coated they don't even prep the surface...it's just new steel with the mill scale still on it & then powder coated. It's the lowest quality of powder coating. Powder coating is no different than paint...be very selective who you choose to do your work. New Harley davidsons are almost completely powder coated. That being said, they don't powder coat the body panels & I'm with Norm, I'd stick to frame & running gear only.
