Use the axles from your junker as right angle drives (weld up side gears, cut off one side)go pto to axle, pinion verticle, use a 2 ft driveline from 1 pinion to the other,hook axle to generator. Install generator crosswise at back of cab. Or use a junkyard engine (air cooled VW?), build adapter to suit generator, save the wear and tear on your 2 1/2t ?
