Jason,
Before you get really upset.....
Replacing the windows would be expensive
> 250 for the windshield
The front drive axles is very expensive to rebuild ie more than a rebuilt dana 44 ot 60 from Boyce in SLC and no locker or disks.
a set of new hubs are ~ $350 and you have not looked at the engine, trans or transfer case. If the 58 was running and in use then $350 would still be expensive because it would be a project truck not a driver. Just doing a full dismantle and paint would be 3000 to 5000 without looking at the running gear. You may have lost this one but you may be way ahead by not getting it too. Count up how much more you know about the truck and start looking some more. The experience and knowing what to look for (and avoid) is worth a lot. If you are looking for a good running and in use 57-59 try coming to Brigham City. Turn right at the light at the base of Sardine Canyon. There will be a blue w100 on the west side of the road behind one of the houses before the first turn in the road to the left. After you check out the blue w100 keep heading south until you see a hay barn on the west (roof, posts no sides). A very very nice Townwagen is usually parked in the barn. Either truck would be a great start - The Townwagen is basically done The body is straight and the body work/paint is very well done.

List what parts you need (rather than want). Folks on the forum are very nice and generous - You may find everything you really need without a lot of expense.

Perhaps tomorrow will be a better day

Oscar
