If you go with a hydrolic puller, be very careful about where you stand while it is under pressure. I had puller setup with a 17-ton hydrolic jack doing the pushing fail(this was Not a brake drum). The holding nuts gave way and the darn thing exploded smashing my finger. Had to do the hospital thing with the red hot poker through the fingernail routine. Not a lot of fun, but I was thankfull that it was not worse. Aways assume that your setup will fail and give way and position your body accordingly. You can always buy another rear end, (the trucks that is)
