It was I who suggested backing the nut off & going for a drive. I am assuming it is a tapered axel shaft with a keyway. 1/8" or less will work--lots of air pressure, potholes & swaying back & forth,at low speeds, CHECKING nut often should work. I always weard a loud "POP" when it came loose, re tightened the nut, & returned to the shop. Best regards George
