Well Johnny, it sounds like others don't appreciate your efforts but you must've dumped some buck into your dorf. Why a 9" lift? Spend a lot of time in deep water?
I also 4 wheel a couple times a week in my STOCK '66 W200 and before I started the engine transplant in my STOCK M-37 it was out that often too. Will your truck drive up, down or ACROSS a 45º slope without spinning a wheel like these old PW's will? Your truck is rated at 1500 lbs. load on the highway (before you messed it up with the aftermarket suspension and a bed so high you can't realistically load anything into it or safely tow with it). These old beasts are rated 2,000# cross country and the militaries are rated 1,500# cross country with an additional 1,500# towed load...and they will do it. Don't presume that since our trucks aren't skyjacked with 47 pink and chrome shocks, chrome diff. covers, chrome skidplates, 38 driving lights and a 500 watt stereo they're not users. When your truck is 50-60 years old and still being used as an off-roader in it's STOCK form (or in this case, in ANY form), feel free to bring it back and brag about it and tell us how we should get one like it. Sound fair? Most these old PW's will still be around and still running if the fuel supply holds out.
