I have some of the trailer dual wheels that have the small hole that is the same as the stud diameter. When two of these are applied they of course center on the stud diameter then a small circular plate drops over the studs that has the same tapered large hole diameter for the stock lug nuts. That tapered hole plate is necessary to secure and center the lug nuts. You could turn the nuts around flat side down and eliminate the plate but the nuts would work loose. That would be the reason for the outside plate. The studs on the trailer axles with this type set up are longer than stock dual Budd. All else is the same.

Interesting wheels but would be best used when you have the disk brake set up on the rear. Then one could run a dual inner and outer or dual on the inner and a stock on the outer. Keeping things tighter.
