I'm scrapping an M37 that has dualies. The studs are stock. There is a special nut that goes over them that locks the inner wheel in place. These special nuts are tightened. Then the outer wheel is put on, and nuts similar to the stock nuts are used, though they are larger in diameter because they thread onto the special nuts. Wrenches for use with dualies typically have one end with a square socket for tightening the inner nut, and the other end is a standard hex socket.

The dualies for this particular setup had spacer plates welded to the outside of the center section. A quick and dirty way to do it, but it works. Ideally the center section should have been seperated from the rim and moved to achieve the proper spacing.

The fenders have small holes where I would guess a rubber extension was bolted on.

When these dualies are on the truck, they look just like the setup for the B-24 Lady Be Good search mission M37.

There is a photo of the Lady Be Good M37 on Bill W's photo page. I don't know if his page is linkable, but I'll try it anyway.

Dualie studs were standard on most if not all WWII 1/2 ton WC 4x4's on the rear axle. The rims were offset enough that nothing special had to be done to mount them. I have dualies on a spare 1/2 ton chassis.

BTW, before anyone asks, Jonas Smith has dibs on my dualies.
