Go for it! i just started a restoration on a '58 w100 about two months ago! they are amazingly cool trucks! mine didn't run when i bought it for sake of every wire in the truck being cut by some moron who used to own it. It runs now and i'm in the middle of trying to get some stubborn brake drums off so i can drop the third member and replace a leaky diff gasket. but it has been a blast so far. i have worked on a lot of Dodge trucks including a wrecked '85 ram i've totally restored (360, carter afb competition series carb, mopar performance vavle covers, new distributor, water pump alternator, power steering pump, heads, paint job, luverne heavy duty chrome bumper, delta tool box, matching bed caps, accel coil, bosch platinum plugs and wires, undercoated the entire truck, used to have ak&n, soon will again, edelbrock air cleaner............etc.), a '79 power wagon two 76, pw's and my 58 the 58 was a pain to wire but i'm all done save the brake lights, i added in a fuse box so i don't have to mess with inline fuses, put in a new ignition switch, repainted the front bumper and most of the grille pieces and too many other things to list! i say go for it. vintage power wagons in iowa does have what they said to be about a semi trailer full of w series parts so they are available. there are also several other places you can find on the net for w series parts you just have to keep looking. good luck
