Your average V-8 will comfortably turn more "R's" than the 6, you can run bigger tires with the V-8's available torque and HP which will drop your RPM and increase both traction and flotation. The parts availablity and prices are much better for the LA engines than the flattie. The V-8's have fewer heating problems as they don't use a water distribution tube and you don't have to adjust valves. Your transmission choices increase in number with the LA's and you might also actually experience an increase in mileage, depending on factors like weight and the condition of your existing engine.
