Let's see Jason. It seems that you've been posting every day for the last week or so, but I've not heard any mention of heat. Follow Vaughn's advice. If it doesn't work, with patience and determination, then apply liberal amounts of heat. Realize that you are attempting to heat fairly massive sections of steel. You won't accomplish it in 10 minutes. If it isn't already clean, then clean the surfaces you need to heat and watch for any color change. It doesn't have to go cherry red. It will first turn a lighter shade of gray, and probably dull looking as well. It will hold this heat for quite a while.
I refer back to Vaughn's advice at this point. Repeat.
