This could open up an interesting discussion on quality vs. low cost tools.

I use a 4 1/2" Chicago from Harbour Frieght. Paid $19.00 for it 3 years ago. I figured it wouldn't last me the summer, but at that cost I could afford to by 3. It's still going and I estimate over 500 hours on the unit. I still see them on sale for $20.00 every now and then. I use the wire wheel attachment to remove paint, cutting wheels to cut steel (I don't have a torch either)and a variety of grinding wheels for grinding and shaping. Being a singel speed, the only function you need that is not available is the low speed pad for paint removal and buffing.

Now this tool is NOT for professional use. If I had to use it every day, it would have been long dead by now, but as a hobbiest it does everything I have asked it to do. If it died today I would have gotten my $19.00 worth of use out of it.
